Το 1989, μέσα στον κυκεώνα των κυκλοφοριών εμπορευμάτων που σχετιζόταν με τον Batman και ενόψη της ταινιας, βγηκαν και 2 βιβλια αφιερωμένα σε αυτόν.

Το άλλο, που έχει και πιο ενδιαφέρον και είναι το αντικείμενο αυτής της παρουσίασης, είναι μια ανθολογία διηγημάτων απο διάσημους συγγραφείς επιστημονικής φαντασίας (επι το πλείστον) με κοινό γνώμονα τον χαρακτήρα φυσικά, και αφορμή τα 50 -τότε- χρόνια απο την δημιουργία του. Τίτλος του: Batman, 14 Αδημοσίευτες Ιστορίες Με Τον Θρυλικό Ήρωα (πρωτότυπος, ξερω...), και βγήκε απο την Εκδοτική Περιοδική Ε.Π.Ε ,και αυτό σε έκδοση τσέπης (12 χ 18 εκ.) , με 416 σελίδες προς 500 δραχμές. Κάποιο ειδους εισαγωγη ή άλλης πληροφορίας δεν υπάρχει μεσα, μόνο αυτή του οπισθόφυλλου. Μόνο ο Επιμελητής της έκδοσης φαίνεται (Μάρτιν Γκρίνμπεργκ). Από οτι φαίνεται ο τόμος μεταφράστηκε μόνος του...

 

Έχει πάρει το μάτι μου παρόμοια έκδοση και για τον Superman με κάποιους από τους συγγραφείς να επαναλαμβάνονται, και από ότι θυμάμαι σε μεγαλύτερο μέγεθος και με σκληρότερο εξώφυλλο.

Το πρωτότυπο αυτού εδώ κυκλοφόρησε την ίδια χρονιά, στις 1 Ιουνίου 1989, απ' τις εκδοσεις "Bantam" και φέρει τίτλο "The Further Adventures of Batman".
